1. Guide to checking ticket code
Nowadays, traveling by plane is becoming increasingly simple. You don’t have to go to the airport or any agency to book tickets. You can sit at home or anywhere and still book cheap airline tickets online, receive a code, and wait for your flight day. However, some passengers still feel uneasy because they are afraid the code may have incorrect information or the system has not confirmed it. When you book Jetstar airline tickets online, you will receive a code, also known as a booking code or ticket code. When you successfully book a ticket, the system will send it to your phone via text message or email.
There are 3 ways to check the Jetstar airline ticket code
Way 1: You can call the Jetstar airline hotline at 19001550 to inquire about your booking code, and this hotline operates 24/7 so you don’t have to worry about not being able to reach the airline.
Way 2: If you are near an official Jetstar ticket office, you can go there directly to inquire about your booking code. You can also ask the staff to check your flight for you.
Way 3: You can check your Jetstar airline ticket code online immediately after booking without having to go anywhere. To check the Jetstar ticket code, you need to know the email used for booking. You just need to enter the booking code and the email used to register for the ticket to check your booking code information and flight schedule quickly. Here are the steps to check the Jetstar airline ticket code online.
- Step 1: Visit the Jetstar homepage.
- Step 2: Click on the manage booking on the menu bar.
- Step 3: Enter the booking email and confirmation code, also known as the booking code.
- Step 4: Click on the find booking button.
There you go, are you feeling more reassured about your code now? The process of checking the Jetstar airline ticket code is quick and right in front of you, so you can feel more confident when using the code to check in for your Jetstar flight without worrying about any errors in your booked ticket.
2. Jetstar Pacific 2019 carry-on baggage regulations
There are strict limits on weight and size for carry-on baggage that passengers can bring into the passenger cabin:
Economy, Starter, and Plus passengers: one main piece of luggage and one small piece with a total weight not exceeding 7kg.
Passengers with FlexiBiz or who purchase an additional 3kg carry-on baggage allowance: one main piece of luggage and one small piece with a total weight not exceeding 10kg (including the additional 3kg carry-on baggage, except for flights to, from, or within Vietnam).
Business Class passengers: two main pieces of luggage and one small piece with a total weight not exceeding 14kg.
The main luggage (or luggage in the Business Class cabin) must fit in the overhead luggage compartment and not exceed 56cm (height) x 36cm (width) x 23cm (depth). The small piece must fit under the seat in front of you. If your luggage exceeds the size or weight limits, you will have to pay additional fees, which will be collected at the airport.
3. Jetstar Pacific 2019 Checked Baggage Regulations
Regarding checked baggage, Jetstar’s Economy Starter fares include 7kg of carry-on baggage but do not include checked baggage. If you need to add checked baggage, you can purchase additional baggage ranging from 15kg to 40kg. Moreover, you can buy additional checked baggage when booking, after booking, or at the airport. Buying additional checked baggage when booking is the cheapest option, while the price will be slightly higher after booking, and purchasing at the airport is the most expensive option.
Limitations
As Cuong mentioned earlier, each passenger can purchase a maximum of 40kg of checked baggage, and the weight of each piece of baggage must not exceed 32kg. Additionally, the dimensions of each piece of baggage should not exceed one meter in any dimension. If any dimension of the baggage exceeds one meter, it will be considered oversized baggage, and you will have to pay an additional fee for that. For Jetstar Pacific flights with A320 and A321 aircraft, the maximum dimension for oversized baggage is 2 meters.
4. Airport Procedures Guide
4.1 Check-in Procedures
Jetstar Airlines will close the check-in counter 40 minutes before domestic flights and 50 minutes before international flights. Therefore, passengers need to be at the airport at least 2-3 hours before departure to ensure completing the check-in and baggage drop procedures before the counter closes. Passengers can also check in online in advance for flights from Saigon, Hanoi, and Da Nang to save time and avoid waiting in line at the airport. There are 3 ways to check in: at the counter, at a kiosk, and online.
At the Counter: This is the most common way where you just need to go to the check-in counter of your flight and present your booking code along with personal documents such as ID card or passport, or birth certificate for passengers under 14 years old. Here, the staff will check and issue your ticket while also weighing your luggage and accepting checked baggage. However, the downside of this method is that you have to arrive quite early as the counter closes 40 minutes before the flight and you will also have to wait in line for your turn to check-in as there are many people following this check-in procedure.
At the Kiosk: This is also a choice of many passengers nowadays. Checking in for your flight at Jetstar kiosks in the airport is a much better option than doing it at the counter. You don’t have to wait in long lines, checking in at the kiosks near the check-in counters, then you can print your boarding pass and baggage tag quickly. However, this check-in method still requires you to go to the counter to drop off your baggage, so it may take a little time. Nevertheless, if you don’t have checked baggage, this option is truly great.
Online: First, you access the website www.jetstar.com and on the homepage, click on “Check-in”. If you are a “My Jetstar” member, click on “I am a member”. If not, select “I am not a member”, enter your “Booking confirmation code” and the email used for booking. In case you don’t remember the exact email address, you can enter any word from the name used for booking the ticket. For example: If the booking name is “Nguyen Van A”, you can enter “Nguyen”, “Van”, or “A”. Then you can check your booking information. At this step, you can purchase additional seats or baggage.
When selecting additional seats, if you choose seats in the emergency exit row, you must meet Jetstar’s requirements. Also, when sitting in the emergency exit row, you cannot continue online check-in and must check-in at the counter. Next, you can choose seats with corresponding prices. Purchasing seats in the emergency exit row requires check-in at the airport counter. Additionally, you need to have an ATM card, international payment card, or Jetstar shopping voucher to complete the payment. Jetstar does not accept payments after online check-in for seat and baggage purchases. After confirming your selection, click on “Add to cart”. After adding to the cart, you can proceed with immediate payment or purchase additional checked baggage. After selecting “Purchase additional baggage”, the system will display the corresponding baggage options and prices. You can choose as needed and click “Add to cart” to proceed with baggage purchase. After adding to the cart, you can review the additional services you have purchased and select “Pay now”.
After confirming your choices, you can proceed with payment. At this step, you can only pay immediately with an international card (Visa, Master Card, JCB, etc.), a domestic ATM card with online payment function, or a Jetstar payment voucher. Jetstar accepts both forms of payment, so if you have both a voucher and a card, you can use both. To make the payment, you need to click on the “I agree to the terms and conditions” box, then click on “Purchase”. After completing the payment, the system will return to the main interface with information about your booking code, baggage, and seats you have purchased. Click on “Check-in now” to proceed with printing the boarding pass. If your booking includes multiple passengers, you can check-in for all passengers or only for selected individuals by clicking on the corresponding box. You can also check-in for one or multiple flights for yourself. After making your selections, click on “Continue” to proceed to the next step.
At the next step, you will need to declare any dangerous goods. If you plan to bring items from the list, you will need to declare them at the airport. If you do not have any dangerous goods, click on “No, I do not have Dangerous Goods” and then click “Continue”. Please read the information carefully to download the boarding pass accurately. Additionally, it’s important to note that once you complete online check-in, you cannot make any further changes online for the passengers. Any permitted changes must be made through Jetstar’s booking center. After confirming your choices, click on “Finish”.
After clicking “Finish”, the system will notify you that you have successfully checked in for your flight. Click on “Download boarding pass” to download the boarding pass to your computer. Below are some important notes. Jetstar recommends that you read and remember the information to ensure a smooth flight. After clicking “Finish”, the boarding pass will automatically download to your computer in PDF format. Your computer must have “Adobe Acrobat Reader” or compatible PDF reader software to open and print the boarding pass. You can print the boarding pass on A4 paper (1 page per side) or save it on your phone to bring to the airport for security screening.
SOME NOTES
1. Conditions for online check-in
You are eligible for online check-in if: You are flying on a domestic flight operated by Jetstar Pacific (BL) departing from one of the 3 airports: Ho Chi Minh City (SGN), Da Nang (DAD), or Hanoi (HAN).
You are not eligible for online check-in if you are traveling with an infant, flying to or from the U.S., require assistance (e.g., wheelchair, extra seat, visual or hearing aids, service for dogs, unaccompanied minors), or if your booking is not fully paid and you are on an international route.
2. Note for passengers with checked baggage
Passengers with checked baggage still need to go to the check-in counter to check their baggage. Passengers without checked baggage can proceed directly to the boarding gate, and carry-on baggage will be handled as usual.
3. Note about the boarding pass
The boarding pass is only available in PDF format. You can download it directly to your computer or receive it via email, as receiving the boarding pass via SMS is not applicable for online check-in.
4.2 Security checkpoint procedures
At the security counter, initially you need to present your flight ticket along with personal identification documents such as old or new style ID cards or passports for security personnel to verify your identity. If the passenger is a child under 14 years old, they must carry their original birth certificate or a certified copy to board the plane. Then, your carry-on luggage will be scanned through a machine and you will pass through a gate to check if you have any dangerous items on you or in your luggage. Metal objects or electronic devices such as keys or phones, belts should be placed in a tray to pass through the scanner to avoid unnecessary delays for both parties. Additionally, your shoes must also be placed on the tray to go through the scanner as the current requirement at all airports is that when passengers pass through the gate, they are not allowed to have anything on them except clothes, while shoes and other items must be placed on the tray, including wallets. Handbags or jackets should also be placed on the tray, so don’t forget to do so to avoid wasting your own time there.
After passing through this checkpoint safely, you will step into the waiting room to board the plane. Here, if it’s not time to board yet, you can wait in the designated waiting area based on your ticket class.

Passengers with higher class tickets board first, followed by disabled individuals, those traveling with children, and the rest line up in order. You present your Boarding Pass, the staff tears off a part and hands you back a smaller piece with your seat number written on it so you don’t have to worry about forgetting. Here, you walk through the narrow aisle to board the plane or take a bus to the aircraft and then proceed onto the plane. Once inside the plane, you will sit in the seat according to the number on your Boarding Pass. If you have any issues, you can call a flight attendant by pressing the button on your seat.
6. Regulations on the plane and tips when flying with Jetstar Pacific
Regulations on the plane
Carry-on baggage
As not all airplanes have enough overhead storage space to accommodate all your baggage and to ensure safety requirements, you should place small, light baggage under the seat in front of you and place your main carry-on baggage, larger than that, in the overhead compartment. Remember to carefully arrange your carry-on baggage so that it does not fall out of the storage compartment. Please note that all carry-on baggage must be left on the plane in case of emergency evacuation.
Safety instructions
During flights, the flight attendants will provide instructions on how to use safety equipment and safety regulations before takeoff. Passengers should pay attention to these instructions to ensure safety throughout the flight. Even for frequent flyers, as different aircraft have different safety instructions and emergency equipment, passengers need to pay attention to these instructions.
Seatbelt
The seatbelt on the airplane is designed for passengers to fasten and unfasten quickly. In cases where the seatbelt includes a shoulder harness, passengers must wear the shoulder harness. Passengers are required to wear the seatbelt during taxi, takeoff, and landing, or when the seatbelt sign is illuminated. For added safety, passengers should keep the seatbelt fastened during the flight, especially when the aircraft enters turbulent weather or strong turbulence areas. If traveling with children, ensure they know how to use the seatbelt or assist them in fastening it. When traveling with infants, cabin crew will provide a special seatbelt for infants and instruct passengers on how to use it.
Seats near emergency exits
Emergency exits should only be opened upon request by the flight crew in case of emergency; passengers should not open emergency exits on their own. There are specific regulations for passengers seated in seats near emergency exits, so the flight crew may sometimes ask passengers to change seats. Passengers seated near emergency exits have certain responsibilities as they may be asked to open the exit door in case of an accident. When seated near an exit, passengers should carefully read the safety instructions and request detailed guidance from the flight crew if there are any unclear issues and may request to be moved to another seat if they are unable or unwilling to perform this task when requested.
Safety Instructions Card
The safety instructions card located at the passenger’s seat will guide you to the nearest emergency exit, the method of opening the emergency exit, and how to use safety equipment on the aircraft, such as life rafts and emergency oxygen systems.
The location and operation of emergency exits may vary on different types of aircraft that passengers have encountered before. Therefore, it is important to read the safety instructions card before each takeoff, even for aircraft types that passengers have flown on before.
Carry-On Electronic Devices
Some electronic devices are not allowed to be used on the aircraft as they may interfere with the aircraft’s navigation and communication systems. Other devices may be used outside of taxi, takeoff, and landing, and when permitted by the flight crew. Passengers should pay attention to the flight crew’s announcements regarding the use of these electronic devices. For some electronic devices using lithium batteries, passengers may be restricted from bringing them on board. To transport these devices, passengers need to contact the airline regarding the transportation conditions related to lithium batteries for electronic devices.
Passengers should not use headphones during boarding, taxiing, takeoff, landing, or disembarkation as wearing headphones may make it difficult for passengers to hear instructions from the flight crew and ground staff, especially in emergency situations.
Some Notes on the Aircraft
Behaviors such as disrupting order on the aircraft, verbally threatening, physically assaulting, intimidating, being intoxicated, causing disorderly conduct, abusing alcohol beyond permissible limits, refusing to follow crew instructions, endangering aircraft safety, etc., are not allowed on the aircraft. If such behaviors occur, the aircraft may have to make an emergency landing, and passengers may be forcibly removed from the aircraft, denied transportation, fined, or prosecuted under the law. Currently, smoking is prohibited on all flights, so passengers need to pay special attention to this regulation.
Preventing Injuries for Passengers and Flight Attendants
One of the most common injuries on an aircraft occurs when a cart carrying food or beverages collides with a passenger’s knee or foot. Keeping knees or feet in the aisle can also increase the risk of tripping for the flight crew. Passengers should be mindful to keep their knees, feet, and carry-on luggage out of the aisle while seated to avoid injury risks from contact with moving objects during in-flight service.
Traveling with Infants, Children
For the safety of both adults and children, it is required that each infant or child under 2 years old must be accompanied by an adult passenger.
Passengers should use the safety harness provided by the flight attendant throughout the journey to protect the child; ensure comfort for the child while flying; provide a familiar and safe seat until landing. If using a separate child seat (similar to a car seat), passengers need to contact the airline in advance.
In case of emergency oxygen masks deployment, passengers should put on their own oxygen mask first before assisting children.
Food and beverage service on the airplane
Jetstar Pacific airline also values the additional services on the plane. Especially, the airline caters to passengers’ food and drink needs throughout the flight, and you can choose your meals during booking or directly on the plane. The food and drink options are quite diverse, suitable for the culinary tastes of European-Asian passengers, vegetarians, elderly, and children, so you don’t need to worry too much about your meals. However, the prices of food on the plane are quite high, ranging from 40k to 60k VND. Additionally, Jetstar airline also offers snacks such as canned potatoes, dried sweet potatoes, and pastries with prices ranging from 20k to 40k VND.
