From Duong Dong town, head north for about 35km. You will pass through a pristine forest with a very rich ecosystem. After passing through this forest, you will arrive at the Vinpearl entertainment area.
Traveling Time to Vinpearl Phu Quoc
Due to its tropical monsoon climate, Phu Quoc Island has distinct rainy and dry seasons. The rainy season starts from May and ends in October with cool, breezy weather, but rough seas and not suitable for outdoor activities. The dry season occurs from November to April the following year with slightly hot weather but not as scorching as on the mainland, with temperatures ranging around 26 degrees Celsius. Therefore, you can visit Vinpearl Phu Quoc at any time of the year, as long as you plan your itinerary well.
According to Cuong, the best time to travel to Phu Quoc is from October to May of the following year. This is also the peak tourist season in Phu Quoc, so if you plan to go during this time, it is advisable to book accommodation and flights about 3-4 months in advance to get a good and affordable room while saving on flight costs.

a. Transportation from the airport to Vinpearl Land
– Hotel shuttle service: Vinpearl Phu Quoc is more than 33km away from the airport, about a 1-hour drive. If you book a room at a hotel or resort within Vinpearl Phu Quoc, the best way to get from the airport to the hotel is to book their shuttle service. Almost every resort here offers this service, so after booking your room, you can inquire and register for it. If you book through Agoda, Booking, or Mytour, you will get this service for free.
– Taxi: Taxis are a convenient mode of transportation to Vinpearl for groups with many people and luggage, but they can be quite expensive.
b. Transportation from Duong Dong town
– Motorbike: If you book a hotel in Duong Dong town, you can rent a motorbike to get to Vinpearl. The rental price is quite cheap, ranging from 120,000 to 150,000 VND/bike/day (depending on the type), but the fuel prices are relatively high.
– Bus: Based on the experience of independent travel to Vinpearl Phu Quoc, for cost-saving, you should choose this mode of transportation when heading to Vinpearl, as it is completely free. This is the bus service provided by Vinpearl for visitors, with buses displaying the Vinpearl Land logo and text. 6. What fun activities are there?
Spiral Slide
The spiral slide consists of 4 slides with 2 enclosed tubes and 2 open chutes, 12m high and 120m long, intertwining and twisting to give players different exciting sensations on each different slide. Personally, I have played many games like this before, so I can say I am quite experienced in these. However, when playing here, I felt quite comfortable because at the turns, it still gives you the feeling of leaning to turn like you are riding a motorcycle. Also, this is a slide where you don’t use a float, so remember to hold your nose before going down to the end, otherwise you will get a nose wash in the pool water!!! That being said, for me, this is still just an easy game and only considered as a warm-up spot.
Lazy River
This is the perfect place for lazy people. Lazy River is an ideal spot for travelers after facing challenging adventures and endless laughter at the thrilling amusement park or family entertainment area. Not to mention that the lazy river also takes you around the water park to choose the next game. That’s why this is truly a place where everyone can relax in the cool water, lie on floating rafts, chat, joke, splash water at each other. Cuong himself quite likes this lazy river because the water flow is not too strong but enough to take Cuong around. Lying on a floating raft, enjoying the warmth of the sun above and the cool water below is truly the best.
Multi-Lane Slide
If chosen, Cuong is quite sure this will be considered as a test point to see who can go fast and farthest. With 6 lanes to slide, Cuong is sure that even a group of 6 friends can play this game together. With a height of 15m, Cuong believes this will be a suitable choice to start the adventurous experience chain at Vinpearl Land Phu Quoc Water Park. With the difficulty level Cuong ranks for this game as “Normal,” this is just like a warm-up spot to prepare for higher difficulty levels. In this game, you will lie on a mat and slide down as if you are diving headfirst. It may sound scary, but in reality, this game is very safe. With 2 folded sections to reduce speed and plenty of water below to stop you, rest assured that you won’t fly off the slide. I remember that day Cuong and his friends played this game and decided to race to see who could fly the farthest. In the team, Cuong was the second heaviest, but somehow managed to get first place. The feeling of sliding on the water at the end was very strange. It felt like the water was passing through the mat, but you could still feel your body sliding on the water. At that moment, I felt like a superhero gliding on the water.
Super Speed Slide
A 120m long slide with high speed, designed for young people who want to show courage, bravery, and race at that speed. In this game, you will enter a closed compartment. After the game master counts 1-2-3, you will move on to the next stage, which is sliding through the tube. Sounds simple, right! However, you will be sliding in a nearly upright position, so it will feel almost like free falling. But don’t worry too much because there will be turns to slow you down before stopping completely. So don’t worry too much when playing. Oh, this is a single-player game, so be mentally prepared that there’s no one to hold onto. Cuong rates this game as “difficult” because you have to experience the feeling of high-speed descent alone.
Tornado Twister Slide
Here it is!!! One of Cuong’s favorite games at Vinpearl Land Phu Quoc water park is this Tornado game. This slide is designed in the shape of a tornado with a diameter of 18m, using a 4-person float, suitable for 2-4 people to experience the adventure and victory when passing through the center of a giant tornado. Cuong and his friends even named this game “Giant Speaker” because its shape resembles a real speaker. When playing this game, Cuong played with 3 friends, making the float super heavy. After passing through a closed tube, you will experience the feeling of being dropped down this Giant Speaker. When Cuong played, due to the heavy float, it felt like free-falling, really thrilling. Moreover, depending on the position on the float, you will experience different sensations like falling backward, straight down, leaning left, or right. For this reason, Cuong played 4 rounds in a row. It may seem not exciting, but it’s actually incredibly thrilling. However, Cuong advises not to play if you have a weak heart because you need a strong mentality to play; otherwise, you might end up pale and bloodless. Cuong has seen cases where people like “Ue” called out after playing, so pay attention. That’s why Cuong rates this game as extremely difficult.
Super Wok Slide
The Super Bowl Slide is one of Cuong’s favorite games, even though it’s only of normal difficulty. Whatever it is, Cuong feels it’s quite suitable for self-improvement before playing the Tornado game, also known as the “Giant Speaker” by Cuong. Similar to the “Giant Speaker,” this game is also for 2 to 4 players. When playing, you will sit on a 4-seat float, and if there are only 2 players, they will sit facing each other. When sliding down, you will pass through a closed tube, although there is a short section without a roof. Then you will be taken into a giant bowl where you will go around for a while before being directed into a tube to go down into the pool. Although it’s quite gentle for Cuong, it’s still a good preparation before stepping into more challenging games.
Children’s Beach
This is the pool area designed specifically for young visitors, with a height ranging from 1m to 1.3m, featuring a Hawaiian house, water guns, swan slides, jellyfish rain showers, rainbow corridors, or apple-shaped houses… promising to bring surprise and fun to the kids. Although it’s intended for children, adults can also join in the fun with water guns, jellyfish rain showers, and rainbow corridors. This is also one of Cuong’s favorite spots because Cuong can capture beautiful photos with water splashing around. Not to mention, if you enjoy water massages like Cuong, you can stand under the water pouring down to relax. Lastly, there’s a giant bucket that pours a large amount of water over our heads. This is Cuong’s favorite spot here because the water massage is so refreshing.
Wave Pool
The wave pool covers an area of 3,275m2 in the shape of a clamshell with various levels of waves, like a mini ocean that allows players to freely dive and play among the waves, which can be gentle or intense, always changing unexpectedly. Even at the deepest point where the water hasn’t reached the heads of those around 1.7m tall, when the waves come, it’s a different story. If you don’t have a float or aren’t a good swimmer, be careful as you might get hit by a big wave. For strong swimmers like Cuong, it’s no problem, Cuong dives in like playing with his friends. Although there are still some who get a mouthful of pool water, overall, not only Cuong himself but also his friends all agree that this game is just for relaxation and not scary at all.
Giant Boomerang
Just like the Tornado ride, this giant Boomerang ride is equally thrilling with a length of 55m designed for a group of 4 people, providing an exhilarating feeling when overcoming the final slope and feeling like free-falling amidst the waves. Cuong’s team hasn’t come up with a nickname for this ride yet, but most agree that it is devilishly challenging, even scarier than the giant Boomerang ride. Although both give the sensation of plunging down, this ride makes you feel more like free-falling rather than sliding down. Since it’s a 4-person ride, Cuong played this with 3 friends who also rode the Tornado with him. Naturally, the raft is super heavy, so the descent is much faster. Additionally, each seating position gives a different sensation of falling, similar to the Tornado ride, so Cuong played it 4 times in a row, but of course, had to take a break after each turn because it’s truly terrifying!!! Instead of the feeling of plunging down, this ride feels like free-falling, similar to riding a high-speed train. The only difference is that in this ride, you don’t have a safety harness; you have to hold onto the raft yourself. Due to the nature of this ride being so terrifying and classified by Cuong as devilishly challenging, he advises those with unstable mental states, poor health, or fear of heights to think carefully before playing.
7. What about dining?
Similar to Vinpearl Land Nha Trang, Vinpearl Phu Quoc also has fast food stalls within the amusement park area and a food street with 3 restaurants, each representing a different cuisine.
- Fast food stalls: You can find all kinds of fast food here, from sausages to fried chicken, hamburgers, french fries, and soft drinks. Prices range from 25k–100k VND.
- Food street: Located along the main road leading to Vinpearl Phu Quoc, the food street offers many choices such as Deli Riverside restaurant specializing in traditional and regional dishes, Deli Land restaurant offering Asian-European buffet, and Yummy Land restaurant/kiosk serving fast food. The fast food stalls within the amusement park area are also part of this system.
Moreover, if you stay at hotels and resorts within the “downtown” area, opt for the hotel’s buffet dining option with prices starting from 450,000 VND per person (applies when purchasing a room + dining voucher). The menu is diverse, rich, and delicious.
8. Tips for enjoying your visit here
- It’s advisable to bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and sunblock if visiting during the summer.
- Vinpearl does not allow outside food into the amusement park area.
- As it is a water park with many fun activities, it’s recommended to bring swimwear, sportswear, or light clothing to change into before playing.
